All of the lights

Last night (and for a few nights before that, as well as tonight) London was lit up for the first Lumiere Festival. Rebecca and I ventured out to see the amazing displays littered around London.

Some of the displays were awesome, like the back of Westminster Abbey being lit up in a stunning array of colurs, and a building showing stills of some iconic Brits. There were others which were more hassle than they were worth, like the neon dogs - it was worse than the mosh pit to see the Mona Lisa at the Louvre, and once you got to the front it was a bit anti-climactic.

Plus as a cherry on top, we got a few flakes of our first London snow which was very exciting.

If you're out and about in London tonight, I'd highly recommend venturing in. You may not get the chance to see it all, however definitely head to Westminster Abbey - you will be left in awe! Oh, and wrap up warm - it's bloody cold! See some of the photos below, and even more at flickr.com/swiftynz
