It's hard to believe it's been one year since we arrived in this country. But on September 5, 2015 just before 6am we touched down at London Heathrow to start our new lives here.
What a year it has been! In the last 12 months we've...
Both landed jobs
Moved flats twice
Had countless brunches and coffees
Met plenty of new family members
Caught up with plenty of visitors from home including family
Welcomed a bunch of new immigrants from NZ
Been to a Rugby World Cup match
Walked through Seven Sisters Country Park
Did a Christmas Lights Bus Tour
Spent Christmas in a cabin in the middle of a Slovakian forest
Walked around Vienna for a day
Gone to Ikea... multiple times
Did the Waitangi Day Pub Crawl
Spent a weekend in Brussels, and the rest of the week in Bruges
Sang in Exeter Cathedral
Holidayed in Nice for a long weekend
Visited Portsmouth (and did a bit of outlet shopping too)
Watched many All Blacks games at a ridiculously early hour of the morning
Meandered around Kew Gardens
Saw Elton John live in concert
Visited France and Italy to see England play in Euro 2016
Saw the NZ Youth Choir (multiple times in Rebecca's case)
Punted in Oxford
Ate oysters on the beach in Brighton
Watched the changing of the guard... again
Walked around a number of villages around the country
Visited home
And that's just what I can easily find in my Facebook feed! It has truly been an exciting year over here, and I know there's plenty more to come. Bring on year two!
